98% of the teenage population does or has tried smoking pot. If you're one of the 2% who hasn't, copy & paste this in your signature.

Yes, all of the time. Microsoft would never admit this and a court of law couldn't prove it because Bill Gates is too good at covering his tracks, but enough research will lead you to the conclusion that every intelligent tech has come to.

Internet Explorer is one of the three key parts of windows and also one of the three key things that allows your computer to become infected with spyware and virii. M$ claims they have no idea how to code a fix for all of this and that the spyware companies adapt too quickly, but even though this can't be proven in a court of law, any good coder will tell you thats a load of horse shit. Bill is in bed with the spyware companies. This isn't slader, it's a theory and a damn solid one.

The vast majority of spyware and virii target exploits in Internet Exploder. This is why when you use Firefox, Netscape and anything *other* than IE you'll notice that your spyware killing program is not detecting nearly as much crap as it did when IE was your primary browswer.

Unfortunately using these is a good fix but not a cure. Alot of applications and web site utilities make direct calls to IE and theres nothing you can do about it. You can't delete IE because it's an extension of Windows Explorer. To me, thats like a signed and nototized confession by Microsoft. Not being able to disable IE completely tells me that the whole thing stinks.

Outlook Express is the second one. Most mail client exploits are gears towards take advantage of Outlook. This can not be deleted or disabled either -- howeber thankfully in this instance -- the problem is solved simply by chosing NOT to use it.

The final problem is Windows Explorer itself. I don't know if spyware directly targets that or not, but I do know that it's a buggy and unstable peice of shit. Ever since i've switched to Sharpe Shell at sharpe-shell.org as an Explorer replacement -- the only time Explorer is loaded is for browsing the hard drive, etc.. Sharpe Shell is a free and open source Desktop Shell Replacement.

lol I am a coder and disabling IE is simple delete it. Your operating system does not need it too run. Just delete it then remove the IE Root Class from the Registry takes all of 2 minutes to do. But good job on calling Bill out. The asshole. Yes I use linux and Mac 90% of the time but Alot of mystuff isn't compatable with those guys yet so I have a windows pc for shame. But I have always used firefox.
